Today was an interesting day; I spent a half an hour waking my brother, I did my water changing duties, I watched Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog (Joss Whedon is a genius...and the musical is one of the most interesting thing I have seen in a long time...I highly recommend watching it), and I read both issues of the comic series Zombies vs. Robots. The art work in them is superb, and they are conceptually interesting...did I mention that there are Robots fighting Zombies?!?!
I went into town to help my buddy Kadyn with his Eagle Project. He is doing some landscaping behind the new addition to the local library. I was the only one other than Kadyn. We were there scraping gravel off of the ground and throwing it into the alley, when I hear the little, high-pitched, constantly yelling, voice of a little 7 year old (I only say 7 because that is the age that Kadyn said...I am really bad at guessing little ones' ages). Anyway, the kid really wanted to help and was really funny, so we let him hang around...
"Woah! dude, be careful where you are flinging that shovel!" I said.
"Why?" the inquisitive little one asked.
"Because I don't want stones in my face."
"If you were the stone man you wouldn't mind having stones in your face."
"Stone man? Do you mean The Thing from the Fantastic Four?" I asked.
"Uhhh..." he mumbled in uncertainty
"He has a friend who is made of stone." I said pointing at the image of Spiderman that was printed on the top of his shoes...then I said in an aside to Kadyn "At least they are owned by the same company..."
"Ohh you mean the Hulk! Don't get me angry!" Exclaimed the little boy.
"No, but close." I could tell the conversation wasn't really going to go anywhere.
When we decided that we were done for the day I went to my car and turned the key. TURKET TRUKET TURKET TURKET TRUKET TURKET TURKET TRUKET TURKET. Thank goodness that my brother still hadn't left on his vacation or else I would have been stranded in town. I need to have someone diagnose what happened to it for me in the morning...I am not all that talented in the vehicular discipline...
